At the Princess Mundo Imperial Resort in Acapulco on Wednesday night, Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Italian qualifier Flavio Cobolli 6-3, 7-6 (6) to advance to the Mexican Open quarterfinals.
The former world No. 3 will also definitely make a comeback to the world’s top 10 on Monday after dropping out of the group earlier this month due to the victory. Tsitsipas is now ranked 9th in the live rankings and, with a strong performance in Acapulco, may move up to seventh place in the ATP rankings.
The Swiss Open Gstaad is an annual professional tennis tournament held in Gstaad, Switzerland. According to recent reports, Tsitsipas has added the Swiss Open Gstaad to his claycourt schedule from July 15–21.

Currently ranked no.11, Tsitsipas played his last match on the 29th of February when he surrendered to world no.10 Alex De Minaur 1-6 6-3 6-3 in the quarter in Acapulco (draw).
This season Stefanos achieved a compiled 9-4 win-loss record. Stefanos Tsitsipas’s most significant achievement of the year was getting to the semifinal in Los Cabos.
