According to former tennis player Pam Shriver, Raducanu’s injuries may ultimately prevent her from rising back to the top. Shriver says she is interested in what Raducanu will bring to the WTA 1000 event when she enters Indian Wells as a wildcard. Raducanu might not be able to return to her peak form due to the physical strain of the WTA Tour.

Shriver expressed her remarks about Raducanu and said: “I find this era of tennis so demanding on the joints. I want to see how she stands up to the test of time. There is history that shows some players never fully regain their form, but all indications are that Raducanu is fully motivated to become a successful player again.”

She further said: “Even though we’re going on more than two years since winning the US Open, that run should give her confidence that she can compete with the best players in the world when healthy.”

She goes on to say that the former British No. 1 will always have recourse to her Grand Slam-winning experience.
