Aneke Rune, the mother of Holger Rune, recently revealed a horrible message she received after Rune’s Mexican Open semifinal defeat.
Not long after Rune’s semifinal loss 6-3, 3-6, 4-6 to Casper Rudd, Rune’s mother shared the abusive mail she received.
The abuser wrote: “You f*cking son of a wh*re. I’m waiting for you. I will hunt you down and stick a knife in your neck. then I’ll cut off your stupid head. It will be all over the news. Damn, this will be a lesson for the rest. f*cking scum. I’m coming for you. You will die from a dull knife.”
Aneke noted that it was against the law to threaten someone’s life while disclosing the abuser’s email address.
She replied: “If anyone knows this idiot, do tell him that it’s illegal to make death threats.”

Ranked no.7, Holger played his last match on the 1st
of March when he surrendered to world no.11 Casper Ruud 3-6 6-3 6-4 in the semifinal in Acapulco (draw).Currently, during this year Holger owns a composed 11-5 record. Holger Rune’s most significant result of this season was reaching the final in Brisbane.
Rune is scheduled to compete next in Indian Wells (BNP Paribas Open). He will start the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 4th of March.
