The BNP Paribas Open will return to the desert in 2024, welcoming 2018 Indian Wells champion Naomi Osaka for her sixth visit. The four-time Grand Slam champion, who has won seven career WTA singles titles, is the first Asian player to hold the top spot in the world rankings for singles.

Osaka’s victory in the desert in 2018 proved to be a breakthrough since it was her first-ever professional title achieved on the tour, making her the youngest Indian Wells champion in almost a decade.

Osaka was recently spotted training on the court in preparation for the event, and it appears she is working hard to give her competitors a hard time.
