Amidst his quest for victory at the 2024 Mexican Open in Acapulco, Tsitsipas took a poignant moment to connect with the beneficiaries of the Construyendo Association, an NGO to which he had previously donated funds for hurricane relief.

Tsitsipas, currently ranked World No. 12, pledged to donate one thousand dollars for every ace he scored during the tournament. In his opening match, he faced Roman Safiullin, triumphing with a score of 6-3, 6-4 while delivering five aces. The following round saw him conquer Italy’s Flavio Cobolli with a 6-3, 7-6 (6) victory, once again tallying five aces. Thus far, his performance has not only advanced his position in the tournament but also contributed ten thousand dollars towards hurricane relief efforts.

A heartwarming video surfaced on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) capturing Tsitsipas engaging with the beneficiaries of the NGO. In the footage, the tennis star is seen signing their T-shirts and caps, as well as posing for photographs, emanating warmth and compassion towards those impacted by natural disasters.
