Beijing Pollution: Klizan never again at the China Open

Not a great piece of advertising for Beijing.

The Chinese Capital is quite well known for the high level of pollution and now also the players that are competing in China Open are feeling it big time.

Klizan: Never again in Beijing

Martin struggled (a lot) against Fognini to lose 6-2 6-1 and comment “Whatever the outcome of the match, the air in Beijing was so toxic that just half an hour into the match I started coughing uncontrollably and after the match I had to throw up. These conditions are dangerous and unfortunately I’ll have to eliminate this from my tournament schedule for the rest of my career.”

Earlier both Tsonga and Bouchard had to surrender to a strong dizziness (the Canadian may had it form her concussion suffered at the US Open).
