On Sunday, Novak Djokovic was in attendance at the Dignity Health Sports Park stadium in Los Angeles to watch Lionel Messi’s Inter-Miami team play the LA Galaxy.
In a fiercely contested match, Dejan Joveljic’s goal in the 75th minute almost gave the LA Galaxy, who are looking for their first victory of the 2024 Major League Soccer season, a surprise victory. But Messi broke their expectations by proving his persistent ability to score a vital goal and equalize in stoppage time.
At the LA Galaxy’s home field in California, Djokovic was present to watch Messi’s heroic actions. The Serbian, who looked stylish in a green Lacoste jacket and white polo, looked happy as he posed for the cameras.
Djokovic’s son Stefan was also spotted watching the action on the field as the Serbian spoke with Vlade Divac, a former NBA player. The two got the chance to meet before the 2023 US Open, and following their meeting, the Serb praised Messi greatly, calling him an outstanding champion.
