British tennis sensation Emma Raducanu has offered a glimpse into her rigorous training regimen as she strives to reclaim her position among the elite players on the world stage. Rising at 6am each day, Raducanu dedicates herself to grueling double tennis sessions, showcasing her relentless commitment to excellence.

Returning from three surgeries last year, the 21-year-old is determined to ascend the world rankings once again despite facing setbacks, as evidenced by her recent early exit from the Qatar Open. Reflecting on her daily routine, Raducanu outlined the demanding schedule that fuels her pursuit of success.

“Typically, I start my day with physio doing muscle activation work to warm the body up. Then I warm up for half an hour, play tennis for 90 minutes, have an hour gym session, then break for lunch for around 90 mins,” Raducanu shared with Bazaar.

Her training routine is a testament to her unwavering dedication, as she spends hours honing her skills both on the court and in the gym, underscoring the sacrifices required to compete at the highest level of professional tennis.

Despite her commitment to training, Raducanu faced adversity at the Qatar Open, where she experienced difficulties on the court against Anhelina Kalinina, currently ranked World No. 30. Reflecting on her performance, Raducanu acknowledged the challenges she encountered during the match.

“I was struggling with everything – serve, return, forehand, backhand. I felt like I never really got into it,” Raducanu candidly admitted, highlighting the obstacles she faced during the tournament.

Acknowledging the need for adjustments in her tournament schedule, Raducanu emphasized the importance of finding a balance between training and competition to optimize her performance on the WTA tour.

“It is hard for me to get used to the tour schedule. It is one tournament then another straight away. I need to schedule my tournaments a bit better and try to get more matches under my belt,” Raducanu explained, illustrating her commitment to continuous improvement.

As Raducanu navigates the challenges of professional tennis, her perseverance and resilience serve as a testament to her determination to overcome obstacles and fulfill her potential on the global stage. With her unwavering work ethic and unwavering resolve, Raducanu remains poised to make her mark in the world of tennis for years to come.
