On March 3, Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz will play a highly anticipated exhibition match called the ‘Netflix Slam’. The match will be held in the Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas and will be hosted by MGM Resorts.
Nadal and Alcaraz will try to recover from their injuries in time to compete in the Netflix Slam. More attention has been paid to the much-awaited event than simply the match, as MGM Resorts has organized many fans additional activities, such as personalized tennis lessons with both players. The resort’s official website states that all of the private sessions with Alcaraz and Nadal are sold out and cost an incredible $150,000 each. Also, a combined group clinic involving the two costs $50,000 per individual.
Tennis fans criticized players’ tendency to demand such expensive payments, expressing shock at the astronomical price of a private session with Nadal and Alcaraz.
