Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic will play in Bangkok this afternoon.
The 2 Tennis Legends are having a rather different moment in their career. Rafa is struggling to find his best form (and many question if he will ever manage to) while Nole is in the “middle” of his prime.
The Serbian has denied Rafa in Paris and Monte-Carlo this year, but the Spaniard is not very upset about that (at least right now).
Nadal: Nole’s mental strength difficult to equal…
During an interview in Bangkok Rafa had only good words for Djokovic “The mental strength and the level of tennis is difficult to equal. I texted him after the US Open, but I want to say today in a public way, it’s amazing the way he’s playing during the whole season.”
… I am not looking for a revenge
Talking about their exhibition in Thailand, Rafa said (with a nice smile) that winning is not about a revenge for his losses in Monte-Carlo and at the Roland Garros ‘‘Not really, even if I win tomorrow it will not be revenge. It’s an exhibition match.
The purpose is to try to play a good match where we have some fun and create good fun for the people.”
