Elena Rybakina says that Novak Djokovic is a great role model and acknowledges that she would love to bring out the Serb’s return and mental toughness into her style. Rybakina has significantly improved her game over the past two years and is now regarded as one of the top players in the game.

After her semifinal victory against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in Doha, Rybakina was questioned about her thoughts on record 24-time Grand Slam winner Djokovic’s style of play.

Rybakina expressed her thoughts about Djokovic and said: “There are many things that I would take from Djokovic, but certainly return and mental strength in matches. You can take a lot from him.”

Since winning Wimbledon, Rybakina has taken home four more WTA titles, has two WTA 1000 titles under her belt, and is now as high as No. 3 in the world rankings. Being among the finest in the game right now, Rybakina has a clear ambition to one day become the world’s top player by winning more Grand Slams.
