Swiatek Talks About Winning Doha

Iga Swiatek, in a post-match interview after winning the Doha title for the third consecutive year, discussed the emotional significance of her latest victory and the challenges she faced leading up to the tournament.

Despite feeling mentally drained after the Australian Open, Swiatek expressed pride in her ability to perform and gave credit to her team’s support. The first set, which was lengthy, tested her calm under pressure, and Swiatek stayed focused to secure the win.

With a total of 71 titles to her name, Swiatek is now the sixth player on the all-time list since the format was introduced. While acknowledging Serena Williams’ record, Swiatek remained focused on the next tournament and refused to dwell on future accomplishments.
