After a horrible season, Genie had to endure another blow (a real one) after retiring at the US Open because of a (rather weird) concussion occurred in the locker room. After the accident, Genie had to retire from Tokyo (and now from Wuhan) to lose 10 places in the rankings and be now world no.36. Quite far away from her aspirations.
Radwanska – back in top10
Agnieszka has finally managed to win a tournament (Tokyo) after more than 1 year to climb 6 places and be ranked no.7.
Wozniacki – out from top 10
Caroline lost 5 places to crash out from the top 10 (now world no.11).
Pennetta – career high!
Flavia is still taking advantage from her incredible US Open title to gain 1 place (because Wozniacki dropped) to achieve a world no.6 career high.
