Strange tuff in Wuhan!
Genie Bouchard has flown all the way to China to retire in Wuhan just before her first match against Belinda Bencic.
Genie suffered from a rather mysterious concussion at the US Open early in September and apparently she was happy to give it a shot in Wuhan. The Canadian eventually retired to raise many eyebrows. Genie has already retired from last week’s tournament in Japan and she is still scheduled for Beijing and an exhibition in Hong Kong.
The official reason from the WTA is “ongoing concussion issues”
