The 1980 Wimbledon final between Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe is the tennis event Stefanos Tsitsipas has stated he would love to capture on camera.
The world No. 10 is an avid photographer who frequently uses the camera to showcase his creative side and record his travels. When COVID-19 stopped the ATP tour for five months in 2020, Tsitsipas continued to support himself through photography.
The 25-year-old also maintains a special social media presence where he updates fans on his photographic activities. He was recently asked which well-known tennis match and for what reason he would photograph if he could. Tsitsipas remembered one of the most memorable matchups in the history of men’s tennis with his response.
Tsitsipas said: “The 1980 Wimbledon Championships Men’s Singles final between Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe remains one of those moments that shaped tennis as a whole.”
One of the most significant events in their legendary rivalry was the lengthy match between the top two legends, Borg and McEnroe. After three hours and fifty-three minutes, Borg defeated McEnroe 1-6, 7-5, 6-3, 6-7 (16), and 8-6.

Now the world no.10, the Greek played his last match on the 3rd of February when he beat world no.284 Marius Copil 6-3 6-4 in the Rubber 1 of the Davis Cup (draw).
Currently, during this year the Greek achieved a 5-2 record.
Tsitsipas will compete next in Los Cabos (Mifel Tennis Open). He will begin to play the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 19th of February.
