Ben Shelton has recently disclosed that he may have an injury that he is attempting to prevent at an early age.

Things do not appear to be going well for the 21-year-old emerging tennis star, even though he has advanced to the Dallas Open semifinals. Even though he may appear to be in good health, there is one area of his physical well-being that needs improvement.

Similarly, Shelton might have seen a small hurdle in his path of becoming a successful tennis player, and that would be none other than an injury, even when everything else was going well for him.

In a recent press conference following his victory over Jordan Thompson, he revealed the reason behind his decision to wear a K-tape as a precaution for his abdomen region. In addition, he disclosed that he has been experiencing pain ever since the competition began.

Shelton said: “I kind of strained my ab a little bit, maybe two days before the tournament started and I was feeling pain for probably three or four days after. It’s pretty much subdued at this point but I just want to leave it there and make sure I don’t re-aggravate it but yeah, it’s not limiting it.”
