At the moment ranked no.647, Nadal played his last match on the 5th of January when he was overcome by world no.44 Jordan Thompson 5-7 7-6(6) 6-3 in the quarter in Brisbane (draw).
This season Rafael has managed to achieve an overall 2-1 win-loss record.
