Returning home to Odessa to spend time with family, Dayana Yastremska had one of the worst times of her life. The Ukrainian woman explained on Instagram that she was forced to flee to an underground parking lot with her family to protect the Russian rockets.
She expressed her feelings and wrote: “Tonight has been the scariest night yet. I’ve heard rockets closer than ever before, and we’re still in the parking lot.”
Additionally, the young woman wrote a message to the Russians, asking: “People, if one can call people, could you stop this madness?”
Yastremska had already mentioned the risks to her family in Australia when her grandmother’s house was hit by rockets.

LLLLWLWWLW Ranked no.29, Dayana played her last match on the 1st of February when she surrendered to world no.28 Donna Vekic 6-1 6-1 in the 2nd round in Linz (draw).
Until now, during this year Dayana has achieved an overall 11-3 match record. Dayana Yastremska’s best achievement of this season was reaching the semifinal at the Australian Open.
