Andy and Jamie Murray win a great match against Hewitt and Groth.

Great Britain and Australia were on a 1-all score line when the Brits decided to make Andy to play the doubles with his brother.

The Scotts missed the chances to convert a match point in the 4th set and the match eventually went to the decider. Andy and Jamie got a 3-0 lead in the 5th, but eventually Hewitt and Groth got their break back (3-all). Thinks got quite messy, but eventually the Murrays won the decisive break on Groth’s serve. The final result was 4-6 6-3 6-4 6-7 (6) 6-4.

Andy Murray: We stuck together like brothers

The world no.3 commented “It was an incredible match, to come back from the disappointment of losing the fourth set. We kept creating chances, we stuck together like brothers should and managed to come up with enough good returns.

We had to keep the energy up at the beginning of the fifth set – it was important for us to get a good start.”

Now Great Britain needs just 1 point to get to an historical final. Murray will likely take on Tomic while Evans is expected to play Kokkinakis.
