Holger Rune recently signed with the American sports management organization IMG, where he joined tennis players like Iga Swiatek and Carlos Alcaraz. Aneke Rune, his mother, has also resigned from her position as his publicity manager.
Celebrities in fashion, media, and athletics are all under the management of the International Management Group. They have represented tennis players all around the world throughout the years, and they presently manage some professional athletes, including Andy Murray, Carlos Alcaraz, Iga Swiatek, and Emma Raducanu.
IMG welcomed the Dane to the family on Tuesday by posting a picture of him on their official Instagram account.
Aneke, Holger Rune’s mother, also announced that she would no longer be the 20-year-old’s press manager after the statement. She was grateful for the growing interest in Rune and acknowledged its presence. She did, however, say that she has chosen to assign IMG the media responsibilities because of other commitments.
Aneke said: “It’s no secret that there’s increasing attention around Holger, and we love that, but there are so many other things I need to attend to, and I have several projects that require my focus. Therefore, I have assessed and decided that it’s best to delegate the communication of information so that you (journalists) don’t feel overlooked.”
She added: “I feel confident entrusting the task to IMG, ensuring they will provide the necessary information about Holger in the future, and then I’ll have a bit more time to handle the other things I’m involved in.”
Holger Rune in 2024
Currently ranked no.7, the Dane played his last match on the 3rd of February when he had to retire when playing against world no.31 Borna Coric in the semifinal and the scoreline was 6-3 4-1
.This year Rune has managed to achieve a composed 7-3 win-loss record. Holger Rune’s most significant result of the year was getting to the final in Brisbane.
Raducanu in Abu Dhabi, ranking, and results in 2024
Now ranked no.296, the Brit has achieved an overall 3-2 win-loss record in 2024. Emma is participating in Abu Dhabi where she toppled the world no.36 Marie Bouzkova 6-4 6-1.
Emma Raducanu will come up against the world no.6 Ons Jabeur in the 2nd round on Wednesday at 7:00 pm on Stadium Court. In the past, they have never competed against each other until now in top competitions.
Carlos Alcaraz in 2024
Ranked no.2, Carlos played his last match on the 24th of January when he was overcome by world no.6 Alexander Zverev 6-1 6-3 6-7(2) 6-4 in the quarter in the Australian Open (draw).
At the moment, during this season Carlos has a 4-1 record.
