Great stuff for Garbine Muguruza that had the brilliant idea to partner with Sam Sumyk.
Sam has been the mastermind of Vika Azarenka’s rise to world no.1, but he is now coming from a much less flattering experience with Genie Bouchard. The coach joined the Canadian early in the year with terrible results (many think it wasn’t because of him).
Now rising star and world no.9 Garbine Muguruza decides to try to partner with Sam at least for the Asian season. The Spaniard split with her coach Alejo Mancisidor just a month ago.

Garbine announced on facebook “Leaving today for Asia to play Tokyo, Wuhan, Beijing and Hong Kong; Sam Sumyk will help me this week in Japan. I have been practicing with him in Barcelona and we are testing this week.”
This could be a really good match.
