In the Hyundai Masters in Palm Springs, former Olympic gold medalist Jack Sock upset world No. 4 Connor Garnett, marking an impressive start to his pickleball career.
The 31-year-old recently said that he would retire from professional tennis after the US Open in 2023, but he has had a strong start in the pickleball division, defeating Garnett in the quarterfinals with a score of 4-11, 11-9, 11-2.
Sock eventually fell against Federico Staksrud in the semifinals, despite going on to overcome Jay Devilliers in the match that went to the final eight. Sock had a rather successful career as a professional tennis player, taking home six ATP titles.
This is the reason he was able to rank eighth in 2017, which was a career-high. His Grand Slam results are not very impressive, as he was never able to advance past the quarterfinals in any of the major competitions.

LLLWLLWL Now the world no.672, the American played his last match on the 13th of April 2023 when he was overcome by world no.261 Tristan Boyer 3-6 6-4 7-6(3) in the 1st round of the Sarasota Challenger (draw).
Currently, during this year Jack achieved an overall 2-6 record.
