Ons Jabeur, a tennis player from Tunisia, praised Princess Reema for her extraordinary reply to Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova on their criticism regarding the potential relocation of the WTA Finals to Saudi Arabia.

Evert and Navratilova expressed strong opposition to the idea of a major tournament such as the WTA Finals being held in Saudi Arabia in a Washington Post essay, arguing that such a move would cause a huge decline in women’s tennis. Princess Reema gave a thorough justification for each claim made by the two former tennis greats, even as she criticized them for promoting outdated views and advised them to get their facts straight.

Jabeur expressed her thoughts about it and said: “Princess Reema’s answer was unbelievable. I think she’s classy and elegant, and every player was impressed with the way she addressed Martina’s and Chris’ letters. We’re looking forward to going there. I’m personally looking forward to going there.”

The 29-year-old Jabeur responded to it by simply asking her critics to learn more about the real situation in Saudi Arabia.

She further said: “I feel like people should be more informed about what’s happening in Saudi Arabia; more informed about how the country is getting better and better and I feel like it’s important not to just listen to one side; in anything to be honest with you, not just in this matter, but to anything.”
