Nick Kyrgios is back to origins.

The Australian will play the ATP250 event in Kuala Lumpur eager to show to the local crowd (and his mother’s compatriots) his huge potential.

Nick has a strong link with his mother’s country to also be the Malaysian Airways brand ambassador.

Back to tennis, the event will start the 26th of September and there is a very strong field for an ATP250 with Ferrer, Gasquet, Dimitrov, Troicki, Lopez, Chardy and Nick.

The organization

Tournament director Nick Freye commented “It is the toughest field we have hosted in the tournament’s seven years and it doesn’t stop with the top eight players.

We have an almost class-leading cut-off of No. 57 and that means that anyone of the 19 direct acceptances are capable of winning the tournament.

It is going to be a fantastic week at Putra Stadium, and impossible to predict who will be holding the trophy on finals’ day.”

Nick confirmed his presence with a tweet “Looking forward to playing in @ATP250KLOpen #MyNextStop on @ATPWorldTour come out and watch. #Support #KLOpen
