It’s (practically) official: Flavia Pennetta and Fabio Fognini will get married next year.
It was Flavia Pennetta to break the news and say that they will get married in June 2016 in Brindisi, Flavia’s city, while the “party”will be held in Borgo Egnazia.
Pennetta has already announced during the US Open ceremony that she will retire to confirm a gossip that was going around for some time.
Concita Pennetta, Flavia’s mother, commented “She is not 14-years-old anymore, she is a woman. She knows what to do and we cannot tell her what to do. I think she has already made up her mind and we will talk about it once she is back”
Roberta Vinci commented “I have been shocked by the news, I didn’t expect that. As a woman a agree with this choice; that means that she has also another life. She has done many sacrifices and it is right that she wants to do something else. I do not want to make my parents to faint, by I am also not that far from that.”
