Roger Federer is about to play another final against Novak Djokovic and this time he has a very good shot at winning another slam (his 18th). Here is why.
1- FEDERER is FRESH
Roger didn’t spend much energy during this slam to win all matches in straight sets. The only match that he spent a little more energy is in the 4th round against Isner (7-6 7-6 7-5), but besides that everything got really smooth. Roger shouldn’t struggle much even in a 5 setter (the guy is really fit even at his age).

2- FEDERER is play at his very best
Roger is playing an amazing tennis. His serve s working like a charm and he has dramatically improved his back hand (much more solid) and his return.
3- THE COURT is extremely fast
The court condition is extremely fast and the ball tend to skid. This is perfect for the Roger’s game.
4- ROGER has beaten Djokovic recently
Roger is completely aware of the fact that he can beat Djokovic. He has lost in 4 in Wimbledon, but he has beaten him in straight sets in the recent Cincinnati final.

5- 90% of the PUBLIC will support Federer
The biggest part of the crowd will root for Roger. This could be a huge help for the Maestro.
6- DJOKOVIC NOT at his very best
Novak had a good tournament, but in 3 occasions (vs. Seppi, Bautista-Agut and Feliciano Lopez) he didn’t appear to be in Serbinator mode. He needs to be at his 110% if he wants to be an in-form Federer at this US Open.

7- FEDERER has won this slam already 5 times
We know, it was some time ago (2004->2008), but he might remember 2/3 things about winning the US Open. It might help.

Let’s try with Federer in 4, but Nole (one of the best in tennis history) will definitely go there to prove us wrong.
