After receiving a wild card, Ons Jabeur and Naomi Osaka will play in the doubles at the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open, which gets underway on Saturday.
The second edition of the WTA 500, which is hosted by Mubadala and organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, will take place from February 3–11 at the International Tennis Centre in Zayed Sports City.
While the singles tournament is expected to bring incredible excitement, attention will also shift to the doubles since Jabeur, a fan favorite and Grand Slam finalist, will join four-time Grand Slam winner and former world No. 1 Osaka for the first time.
Although their solo careers are more well-known, Osaka has participated in the women’s doubles in all four Grand Slam events, and Jabeur has participated in the US Open, Australian Open, and Wimbledon. On February 5, the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open doubles tournament gets underway.

Ons Jabeur in 2024
LLWWLWWLWW At the moment ranked no.6, Ons played her last match on the 17th of January when she lost to world no.35 Mirra Andreeva 6-0 6-2 in the 2nd round of the Australian Open (draw).
Presently, during this year Jabeur has achieved a compiled 1-1 match record.
She is also scheduled to play in Doha (Qatar TotalEnergies Open) after Abu Dhabi. The main draw will start on the 5th of February.

This season Naomi has achieved an overall 1-2 record.
Osaka is scheduled to compete next in Doha (Qatar TotalEnergies Open). She will start to play the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 12th of February.
Ons Jabeur and Naomi Osaka clashed against each other just on 1 occasion. Their head to head is 1-0 for Osaka. When they played, Naomi Osaka won 6-3 6-2 in the 3rd round in Melbourne (Australian Open) in February 2021.
