On January 26, at the Australian Open, Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner's semifinal match broke all previous records by drawing the largest TV audience for a men's semifinal match since 2014.

At the 2024 Australian Open on January 26, Novak Djokovic’s semifinal match against Jannik Sinner set a record by attracting the greatest TV audience for a men’s semifinal match since 2014. It was also the Serbian player’s only last-four exit in Melbourne.

Djokovic was upset in a thrilling 1-6, 2-6, 7-6(6), 3-6 loss against the fourth-seeded Italian. Because the stakes were so high, 79% more people watched the most-viewed last-four match of the year on ESPN’s stream and broadcast.

Sinner had a great start to the match, and from what has been reported, the audience expanded throughout the telecast. Furthermore, the highly anticipated match drew 29% more viewers than the most-watched Australian Open semifinal in 2022.
