During her recent participation in the Australian Open, Russian tennis star Mirra Andreeva revealed a change to her coaching arrangement.
Andreeva’s coaches, Jean-RenĂ© Lisnard and Jean-Christophe Faurel, who both work at the world-class tennis academy in Cannes, one of the most prominent tennis facilities in the world, have shaped her game in a short amount of time.
She believes that to support her swift progress in the game, she needs a more energetic presence when on tour. She announced the addition of Russian coach Kirill Kryukov to her team.
In the third round, she overcame Diane Parry, rallying from a 1-5 deficit in the third set and a match-point low in the final tiebreaker. Though she lost to Barbora Krejcikova in the Australian Open fourth round, Andreeva showed a lot of promise, defeating both Bernarda Pera and her hero Ons Jabeur.
Andreeva announced this in a recent interview and said: “Previously, I’ve been training at Lisnard Academy, but not this time. We are still based in France but in other courts. I have a Russian coach, Kirill Kryukov; he traveled with me, being the main part of my team.”
