Kyrgios dumped from Davis Cup team

Another day of misery for Nick Kyrgios that has been dumped by Tennis Australia for the Davis Cup semifinal against Great Britain. The Australian is coming from a disastrous American Summer after the infamous sledge at the expense of Wawrinka and Donna Vekic. In addition he crashed in the openers of both Cincinnati and the US Open.

Why he was dumped?

In the tie against Kazakhstan Kyrgios had one of his moments to also say “I don’t want to be here” during his loss against world no.115 Aleksandr Nedovyesov. So apparently he will be “lucky enough” not to be there against Great Britain.

Willy Masur, the Australian Davis Cup captain, commented “After some good healthy discussion with Nick and his team, we have agreed on a plan to help him develop all aspects of his game and ensure a long and successful future in the sport.

Next week’s tie has come a bit too soon for him and is not in that plan.”

The good news for the Australian Team is that Tomic has been called back or the semis and apparently there are no problems anymore with him… for the moment at least.

DOES ANYONE WANT NICK?
