During his match commentary for Eurosport, Nick Kyrgios stated that he was excited to play Carlos Alcaraz after his injury comeback.
Following some incredible strokes made by the young player, Kyrgios stated during commentary that Alcaraz gets him fired up about the game and that he hopes to play against him when he comes back.
Over the past 16 months, Alcaraz has achieved two Grand Slam victories and risen to the top of the world rankings. After missing the competition due to injury last year, he is aiming for a deep run at the Australian Open for the first time.
Kyrgios expressed his thoughts about Alcaraz and said: “He makes me excited about tennis. The guy’s scary. End range. He’s a freak when he’s on end range like that. Intangibles are top-notch. He makes me excited about tennis, Carlos Alcaraz. He’s one person I do want to face, and I do want to give him a good crack when I go back before it’s all said and done. Hopefully, he’s nice to me.”
