Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner gained an enthusiastic following in the Carota Boys in the short time of his career. The six men in carrot costumes follow him throughout the tour. When Sinner finds himself in a difficult circumstance, the Carota Boys support and encourage the 22-year-old. At the Australian Open, Sinner thanked the Carota Boys for travelling to Australia to be there for him.

After following Sinner to all three Grand Slam competitions in 2023, the Carota Boys made their first appearance at the Australian Open. They had been praising Sinner and getting compliments in return. Sinner now recognizes their presence following his easy victory over his opponent in the Australian Open first round.

Sinner believes that the Carota Boys give him more hope during crucial phases. He expressed his thoughts about the Carota Boys in a recent interview and said: “I was not expecting them to come here, but it’s nice to see them in the stands (smiling). We have made some great memories together, no? With all the support they give me, they are getting more famous than I am slowly (smiling). You know, I’m happy for them, no?”

He added: “It’s nice to have them. I also have to watch out for myself because I want to win as many matches as possible, but maybe this support gives me that extra belief in the key moments. Who knows? Let’s see how it goes here. But I’m happy that they are here.”
