The world nr.1 won the Serb quaterfinals in straight sets. But even if the start was pretty easy for Novak (6-1), the second set had a much more difficult outcome. Djokovic found himself 1-4 down in the tie break and he had to save a break point (badly squandered by Tipsarevic with a double fault). Eventually he managed to win the next 3 points to win the decider at 6.
Murray will join Djokovic in the semis after a good straigt sets win with Berdych.
Andy sounds quite happy to play again the world nr.1 “I’d like to get a chance to play him again,” said Murray. “Before the Indian Wells-Miami stretch it would be good to see exactly what I need to work on, where my game is.”
In the head to head Djokovic leads 7-4. Last time they played was in another semifinal in the 2012 Australian Open where Novak won 6-3 3-6 6-7(4) 6-1 7-5. See here the article
