Andreescu’s injury

Bianca played an enormous amount of tennis in the first quarter of the year thanks also to her fantastic results. The Canadian reached the final in Auckland coming straight from the qualifications (8 matches), she reached the 2nd round in Melbourne starting again from the qualifications (5 matches), she won the title on Newport (5 matches) and in Indian Wells (7 matches) and she reached the semifinal in Acapulco (4 matches) and the 4th round in Miami (4 matches) where she had to withdraw.

Eventually, tour de force had its toll on Bianca’s body that had a tear to her right shoulder. The Canadian sensation took the right decision to skip almost all the clay court season to fully recover as there was no point to aggravate her injury when at 18 years of age she has so much tennis to play.

Bianca playing in Paris

The teenager is currently training at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca where is getting ready for the French Open. Bianca confirmed her participation during a QA session with her fans to also reveal that she will be in Paris in 1 week.

Andreescu’s rankings
