Roger Federer has just ended his run in Madrid where he showed a rather good level of tennis despite his tough loss in the quarters against Dominic Thiem after he was unable to convert 2 match points.
The Swiss sensation is undecided if he will compete in Rome where he is seeded no.3. Roger always claimed that there was a possibility, but the decision would come after Madrid.
What Federer said about playing in Rome
Before facing Dominic Thiem, Roger revealed
“I had to wait and see how this match plays out today, if it was going to be 6-Love 6-Love or 7-6 in the third. Winning or losing, it all matters, so it was an early ask for me to take that decision. I wanted to keep my options open, and that is why I’m in the draw (in Rome).
I’ll probably only decide on the weekend, but I’m not sure if I’m going to go,”
