With three American tennis players bringing exclusive glory to the nation, 2023 is undoubtedly the year of America. Three American tennis players won this season’s major ESPN honours. These three tennis players are Christopher Eubanks, Ben Shelton, and Coco Gauff. With these three up-and-coming tennis stars, America had a wonderful period of tennis recognition.

The tennis fraternity was particularly impressed with Gauff’s outstanding tennis performance. Similarly, the show was stolen by Shelton’s first-ever Grand Slam performance. Moreover, supporters of Eubanks believe he can revive America’s lost Wimbledon glory, which is why they respect him. The tennis players’ supporters are eager to watch them dominate the court in 2024 after receiving such high praise from ESPN.

Recently, a reliable tennis source tweeted on their X about Shelton and Gauff winning ESPN’s ‘Breakthrough Players of the Year’ title.

Shelton started his career as a professional tennis player while playing for the Florida Gators in college and made it to the quarterfinals of his first Grand Slam tournament in 2023 at the Australian Open. He reached the semifinals at the US Open, Wimbledon, and the French Open in the same season, finishing first and second, respectively.

For his supporters, Eubank’s performance in the four Grand Slam events this season was spectacular. He finished as the second runner-up at the Australian Open, the first runner-up at the French Open, and a quarterfinalist at Wimbledon despite not winning any. In addition, he shocked the fraternity by finishing in second place at the US Open. But it was Eubanks’ outstanding Wimbledon strokes that earned him the ESPN prize.
