Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray shared some kind remarks on social media on Saturday after working out together in preparation for Brisbane International.
Nadal has been out of action for the past year due to a hip injury, but he is about to make his much-anticipated comeback to competitive tennis.
Ahead of his return to the court in December, Nadal announced on social media that he would be competing in the men’s doubles at the Brisbane International, partnering Marc Lopez. He thanked Murray on X following their practice session today.
Nadal wrote: “Thanks, Andy Murray for a great practice today. All the best for the tournament, my friend.”
Murray replied on social media, wishing Nadal well on his upcoming return. He wrote: “Thanks for the opportunity to be back on the court with you. Good luck with the comeback.”

Now the world no.670, the Spaniard played his last match on the 18th of January when he lost to world no.41 Mackenzie Mcdonald 6-4 6-4 7-5 in the 2nd round of the Australian Open (draw).
Presently, during this year Rafael has managed to achieve a compiled 1-3 win-loss record.
He is also scheduled to play at the Australian Open (Australian Open) on the 14th of January and Brisbane (Brisbane International) on the 31st of December.

Currently ranked no.42, Andy played his last match on the 30th of October when he lost to world no.12 Alex De Minaur 7-6(5) 4-6 7-5 in the 1st round in Paris (draw).
This season Murray owns an overall 31-18 record. The Brit has won 3 titles in 2023 in the Aix En Provence Challenger, the Surbiton Challenger and the Nottingham Challenger. The Brit was the finalist in Doha.
