Gael Monfils recently posted a sweet photo of himself and his daughter enjoying the holidays, along with a heartfelt note of hope and gratitude.
Monfils struggled with form and injury throughout his 2023 season, which was a mixed combination of highs and lows. He had to withdraw from the Wimbledon Championships due to a wrist issue, and he missed the first few months of the year due to a foot injury. In the ATP Masters 1000 Canada, he advanced to the quarterfinals before falling to Jannik Sinner in three sets.
In July 2021, Monfils tied the knot with fellow tennis player Elina Svitolina. The couple has shown each other support throughout the tour, cheering each other on and sharing adorable pictures and videos on social media.
Monfils posted a sweet photo of himself and his 14-month-old daughter Skai together in front of a sparkling Christmas tree on Instagram on December 29.
He wrote a beautiful note for his daughter: “As the year winds down, we embrace the simple yet precious moments of happiness. Standing in front of this Christmas tree, my little princess and I send you wishes of warmth, love, and laughter. May the holiday season bring you joy and peace. Happy Holidays to all!”

WWLLWLWWLL Currently ranked no.74, the French player played his last match on the 31st of October when he surrendered to world no.21 Francisco Cerundolo 4-6 7-6(2) 7-5 in the 1st round in Paris (draw).
At present, during this year Monfils achieved a composed 16-15 match record. The French player conquered 1 title in Stockholm.
He is also scheduled to play at the Australian Open (Australian Open) after Auckland. The main draw will start on the 8th of January.
