Karlovic fires 10,000th ace…. and he beats Raonic

Ivo Karlovic has definitely the best serve in tennis history (that cannot be debatable). The Croatian giant has blasted his 10,000th ace in his career against Raonic in Montreal (22 aces in total) and he is close to break Ivanisevic’s all time record (10,183 aces).

Ivo’s service is much more effective than Goran that recorded an average of 11.37 aces per match while Ivo is at 18.98 aces per match.

Karlovic: Beating Ivanisevic is my goal …

Ivo commented “I mean, of course, that is my goal. I would hope that it will be this year. If not, it’s OK, also if it’s next year. Hopefully I will be able to do it, be healthy enough, and hopefully it will be soon.”

… tonight everything was good

By the way, Karlovic has also managed to beat world no.10 and home favourite Milos Raonic (which is no bad!) 7-6 (1) 7-6 (1) to comment “Obviously it means a lot to me. I was moving unbelievable this evening. Everything was going my way. So I’m really, really happy with my performance tonight. I was really focused and aggressive. I was hitting forehands unbelievable. I was running around. I mean, everything was going my way. That’s why it was this score in the tie-breaks.”

Ivo will play either Chardy or Mayer in the third round.
