Google honoured American teenage tennis player Coco Gauff for her rapid rise in their “25 Years of Search” video tribute.

The most popular search engine in the world, Google, celebrated its 25th anniversary in September by honouring the items, people, and events that have received the most searches over the preceding week.

At the very end of the movie, Gauff is highlighted in a section called “Here’s to the ones that set the bar,” which pays tribute to her achievements in tennis and includes a clip of her US Open victory celebration in 2023.

With a career-best position of world No. 3, Gauff is the highest-ranked teenager in the world’s Top 10. The Williams sisters and WTA pioneer Billie Jean King were among the tennis players who were identified in Google’s compilations of the most searched moments, along with the young American star.

With her victory at the US Open, Gauff became the youngest American player to do it since Serena Williams over 20 years ago. Since making her grand debut at Wimbledon in 2019 as a 15-year-old, her reputation has quickly grown.
