Jannik Sinner has been a passionate lover of cars since his father introduced him to motorsports at an early age.
Sinner drove an SF90 Stradale to the Ferrari Museum’s private racetrack after visiting the museum recently in Maranello. The Italian also took the time to tour the museum, where he was able to get a look at the remarkable collection of Ferrari’s high-end sports vehicles over the years.
Sinner spoke with Ferrari about his love of automobiles and respect for the company’s Italian roots.
Sinner expressed his thoughts about Ferrari and said: “The heart of Ferrari is because Ferrari is the brand that has made history in this sport. I’ve always had a great passion for engines and cars.”
Sinner admitted that his early love of cars was fueled by his father and grandfather. The 22-year-old also reflected on his early years, when he and his grandfather used to watch Formula 1.
Sinner continued: “It was my dad who passed it on to me. As a child, I used to watch Formula 1 on Sundays with my grandfather. It was more difficult with my parents because they worked a lot. So, I either watched it alone or with my grandfather.”
Sinner continued to laud Ferrari, pointing out the special qualities that made them stand out from other teams. He said: “The first thing that comes to mind about a car is its sound; the Ferrari sound is unique. It was great to come to Maranello and find out not only how the sound is created but also the story behind each car and how they are made. Today I learned a lot about the Ferrari, the tiny details, everything you can choose from, from the seats or whatever. Everything in a Ferrari is unique.”
