Jack Draper believes Emma Raducanu has all the necessary skills to return to Grand Slam competitions following her injury.
The 2021 US Open champion had surgery-related wrist and ankle injuries that kept him out of the game for most of the 2023 season. Raducanu played just ten matches on the tour this year, and the last one she engaged in was a straight-set loss to Jelena Ostapenko at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix.
In an interview on December 14, Draper expressed his confidence in Raducanu’s tennis abilities. According to Draper, Raducanu will return to compete in major finals starting in 2024. Draper continued by saying that she had all the qualities needed to rise to the top quickly.
Draper expressed his thoughts about Raducanu and said: “I know that at some point next year, the year after that, she’s going to be back to being in those finals and those big positions because she’s got everything it takes. It’s just a matter of when.”
