Iga Swiatek is the first female winner of the WTA Player of the Year title in consecutive seasons since 2015’s Serena Williams. After adding six titles to her record and regaining her position as the world’s top player, Swiatek, who first won the award in 2022, has been awarded it again.

These victories include a third Roland Garros title, a Beijing WTA 1000 title, and most recently, the Cancun WTA Finals, which concluded the year.

Consequently, Swiatek concluded the season with an 86% win percentage and thanked the WTA for acknowledging her efforts. She said after winning the award: “Thank you for this acknowledgement and recognition. See you soon!”

of November when she beat world no.5 Jessica Pegula 6-1 6-0 in the final in Cancun to win her 17th career title.

At present, during this year the Pole owns a 68-11 record. The Pole has won 6 titles in 2023 in Doha, Stuttgart, French Open, Warsaw, Beijing and Cancun. Swiatek reached the final in Dubai and Madrid.
