Bouchard, Bencic to clash in Toronto opener

Genie Bouchard is looking forward to rebound after a series of horrible results in 2015. The Canadian Beauty has just split from her coach Sam Sumyk and she is looking forward to a much better performance in the second part of the year.

Unfortunately Genie has to immediately prove herself in Toronto against rising star Belinda Bencic that had an easy ride against Bouchard in Eastbourne (she was 6-3 3-0 up before Genie retired).

Head to head Bouchard vs. Bencic

The winner between Belinda and Genie will play Caroline Wozniacki, so that wasn’t a very comfortable part of the draw to be in.

Top seeds

The top seeds of the tournaments are Serena Williams, Halep, Kvitova, Wozniacki, Ivanovic, Radwanska, Safarova and Muguruza. Maria Sharapova wasn’t fit to play due to an injury to her right leg.

Possible quarters

Serena – Safarova
Wozniacki – Ivanovic
Muguruza – Kvitova
Radwanska – Halep
