Emma Raducanu, the 2021 US Open champion, recently appeared on Tennis Channel’s Warm & Fuzzy, discussing life on the WTA Tour and addressing the contentious issue of frequent ball changes in tennis tournaments.
Currently sidelined due to wrist and ankle surgeries, Raducanu aimed to return early next year but is unlikely to feature in the initial tournaments of the 2024 season, possibly missing the Australian Open.
During her appearance, Raducanu humorously questioned the rationale behind frequent ball changes, prompted by the controversy surrounding the issue. Despite players’ concerns about the toll on their bodies, including increased injuries, governing bodies like the ATP have yet to address the matter.
Her presence on the show shed light on the challenges faced by players, emphasizing the need for attention and action regarding the contentious ball change issue in professional tennis.
