In a private ceremony held in St. Petersburg, Russia, tennis players Anastasia Potapova and Alexander Shevchenko recently got married.
Potapova has won two trophies since turning professional in 2017 and is currently ranked 28th in the WTA rankings. In June 2023, she reached her highest-ever career ranking of world No. 21.
Shevchenko, however, began her professional career in 2018. She is currently ranked 49th in the world by the ATP. The 23-year-old is still without a singles title.
Shevchenko and Potapova started dating in January 2023. Both have been seen supporting one another at games all over the world. On September 24, 2023, the couple got engaged, and on Friday, December 1, they exchanged vows.
Potapova shared a few videos from the St. Petersburg wedding along with an announcement of their union on social media.

Alexander Shevchenko in 2023
Ranked no.49 (career-high), the Russian played his last match on the 11th of November when he capitulated to world no.20 Ugo Humbert 6-3 6-3 in the final in Metz (draw).
At the moment, during this season Shevchenko owns a compiled 45-34 record. The Russian conquered 2 titles in 2023 in the Tenerife 1 Challenger and the Madrid Challenger. The Russian was the finalist in the Phoenix Challenger and Metz.
