Recently, Carlos Alcaraz surpassed former world No. 5 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga to break into the Top 20 list in career prize money.
During his time on indoor hard courts in the fall, Alcaraz boosted his personal bank account, making him the first player born in the 2000s to reach the $20 million mark in career earnings. His total prize money now stands at $22,583,074.
Alcaraz is ranked exactly twenty-first on the list, which is a remarkable rise given that he made his full ATP debut in 2020 at the Rio Open at the age of sixteen. Under the leadership of former world No. 1 Juan Carlos Ferrero, he has grown into an outstanding athlete.
Since the 2022 season began, the young sensation has made 95% of his career earnings. In a single season, Alcaraz made history by becoming the first teenager to win at least $10 million in prize money. In 2023, he achieved eight figures in prize money.
Alcaraz became the youngest year-end No. 1 in ATP history at the end of the 2022 campaign. A historic teenage season resulted in multiple excellent victories over players ranked in the top ten and a first-ever Grand Slam at the US Open. Even though he ended the season ranked second in the world, this year has gone even better.
