Paula Badosa recently marked her 26th birthday alongside her boyfriend Stefanos Tsitsipas on Wednesday, November 15th. Having been in a relationship since early 2023, Badosa and Tsitsipas have been pillars of support for each other, especially during challenging moments like injury setbacks. Badosa, who achieved her career-best ranking of No. 2 in April 2022, encountered a spinal stress fracture during the 2023 Italian Open in May.
Despite making an attempt to compete at Wimbledon, Badosa had to withdraw during the second round against Marta Kostyuk due to her injury. Consequently, she was sidelined for the remainder of the season, including the US Open. In September, Badosa made the difficult decision to conclude her season, citing persistent pain that hindered her progress despite exhaustive efforts with her team.
On her birthday, Badosa received an outpouring of love and encouragement from fans and friends, with a particularly special tribute from her boyfriend, Tsitsipas. The Greek athlete shared an Instagram story featuring Badosa playing with her racket while dressed in red, captioning it with a heartfelt message: “Happy birthday to my Spanish warrior! Te Amo đź’—.” Badosa also took to her Instagram account, sharing a photo capturing a tender moment between the two as they exchanged a kiss, with a tennis-themed cake displayed in front of them.
