Naomi Osaka has been in the news recently for her candid remarks regarding athletes’ mental health problems. Following that, she received a lot of praise and criticism for raising an important issue in today’s society. But Osaka isn’t in the right frame of mind to process the negative feedback. She’s really hitting those hard, like a queen!
The four-time Australian Open champion has previously discussed mental health concerns in public. She left motivational messages for aspiring female athletes even while she took a break from tennis. But raising awareness of mental health issues wasn’t always simple. However, Osaka is not going to give up on those criticisms anytime soon.
Due to her anxiety and depression, the rising tennis star had previously withdrawn from the 2021 French Open, but not everyone seemed to take that well.
Osaka recently replied to her criticism and posted on Twitter with a caption: “It’s always people with no life talking sh** about others. Like damn, do you want me to give you a job application?”
Although Naomi Osaka’s statement may seem severe, it was made in response to the many criticisms she received for raising awareness of mental health issues. In the past, tennis player Elina Svitolina from Ukraine talked openly about the difficulties she faces managing motherhood, tennis, and family. Given that women are expected to take care of the home, it is not shocking that these female tennis players are experiencing depression, given that giving birth to their children came before their tennis careers.
It’s always people with no life talking shit about others. Like damn, do you want me to give you a job application?
