Ukrainian tennis sensation Elina Svitolina stands at the forefront of a noble cause amid her nation’s crisis, aiming to safeguard the future of tennis in Ukraine. The ongoing war-torn situation in her homeland has prompted Svitolina to take action, ensuring that the turmoil does not impede the development of aspiring tennis talents.
To sustain the sport in Ukraine, Svitolina established the Elina Svitolina Foundation, dedicated to nurturing sports and tennis while providing support to promising players. Recently, the 29-year-old athlete disclosed generous contributions from Stefanos Tsitsipas and Iga Swiatek to her foundation, expressing heartfelt gratitude for their support.
Swiatek notably contributed a substantial amount to United24, an initiative spearheaded by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to gather charitable donations for the nation’s support.
